Token Verification & Expanded Asset Support in Swaps

I led the product design effort to introduce verified token lists along with x-stocks, meme tokens, and RWA tokens in Swaps, across extension and mobile platforms. The goal was to increase swap volume through trust and by introducing new asset classes and in turn boost monetisation through higher transaction fees.
Through multiple rounds of user testing and cross-functional feedback, we redesigned the Swaps UI. We introduced the token verification in the main UI and enhanced the token list UX to support the new asset classes, verification and additional insights.
The final design not only increased conversions but also helped protect users from scams and accidental selections.

Implementing a verified token list along with x-stocks, meme tokens, and RWA tokens

Users often hesitate to swap new/unknown tokens due to risk of scams, fake liquidity pools, and token rug pulls. These risks reduce user confidence, impacting retention and transaction volume. We began by identifying the parameters we could use for verification of the assets. We narrowed the list down to 6 for the MVP. We tested the designs with various user personas to ensure we were addressing the needs of all active users. We surfaced the verificationin the token lists and on the main Swaps UI to help users make informed decisions. A/B testing We tested the flows with various user personas to understand which UX brings the most value to users. The results clearly indicated users found value in modal showing contextual details.
